Dr. Ed's Ultra Dude was a scam conceived by Eddy in "Hand Me Down Ed". His plan was that the Eds would go door to door, passing off toothpaste as a character-enhancing ointment. Most of it was taken from Ed's bathroom, where they had remained since their purchase, unused by Ed. The first prospect that they interviewed was Rolf; unfortunately, Rolf had fallen under the influence of a boomerang and sang at the Eds. Angrily, Eddy gave up on his first patron. Later, the scam was sidetracked when Ed and Edd took possession of the boomerang, and it was eventually abandoned when Ed threw the items the Eds were selling into a sewer while following a boomerang-influenced Eddy's instructions.
