Ed's Friend Store was a scam that appeared in "Dear Ed." The scam was aimed at selling Jonny a new friend, since he had been in a fight with Plank. The store sold new "friends" that were essentially just any old item with a face painted on it in a similar manner to Plank. Unlike most of the Eds' other scams, this one took place at multiple locations, first in the lane, then in Ed's bedroom, and finally in Eddy's bedroom. Jonny was matched up with a friend at the first two locations (Bob and Salty Sam); when these matches failed, Eddy threw a big party in his bedroom replete with imaginary friends. At the party, Jonny was able to find a friend; unfortunately for Eddy, this friend was Plank, and the two made up, ultimately causing the scam to fail.
