The Jawbreaker Chronicle is a newspaper based off the show, Ed, Edd n Eddy. The JBC was created in 2002 by Justin a.k.a. "Daggett." It is hosted by Tripod.com. The format is very similar to the Gravy Inquirer from which it was inspired. The JBC covered stories from the Cul-de-Sac while inserting its own characters, with often hilarious results. The characters were merely the writers themselves such as Justin, John, and Dr. Eric. The characters would cover stories from the Cul-de-Sac while
interviewing the kids themselves. The site started out very basic, but evolved over time adding more and more sections to the site as well as issues. A new site was eventually created entitled The JBC Exclusive. It was essentially the same site, but with a cleaner look to it. The JBC Exclusive hosted some of the same links of the old site, but did not include as many pages as the original site in order to prevent clutter. The JBC enjoyed moderate success and was considered to be a top Ed, Edd n Eddy site in its heyday. The project was discontinued in mid 2007 only months after the JBC Exclusive was created. As of 2012, the website has been removed from its host site.
“ | I decided to discontinue the site due to multiple reasons. The main reason being that I sadly had lost interest in the project in 2007. The JBC name was active for over five years which is enough time for me. I appreciate the work my writers have done over the years, especially my close friend Eric who was a good sport. I would also like to give a big thanks to the readers who put up with us for five years and enjoyed reading our crazy articles. The project was a lot of fun and I made some good friends along the way. Thank you for everything. | ” |
