"Quick Shot Ed" is the 7th Season 1 episode and the 7th episode of Ed, Edd n Eddy. In this episode, the Eds find a camera in Eddy's attic and start taking pictures with it. After a while, Eddy decides that they need to do something about the pictures. After seeing a calendar, Eddy decides to use the pictures they take to create a calendar. The Eds then begin secretly taking photos of the kids in order to create a funny, yet somewhat embarrassing calendar.

PlotEdit

The episode begins at Eddy's house before the scene changes to show Eddy's attic. Eddy opens the hatch door to the attic and tells his friends to come on as the attic is up here. As Eddy opens the door, Edd warns him to be careful. Eddy pushes the door over and goes inside. Ed asks who is there as he and Edd enter the attic. Eddy then flicks the lights on and shows off his attic to his friends while telling them, "Told ya!". Ed and Edd tell Eddy that he has a cool attic. Eddy claims his family are packrats. As Edd goes around, a toaster pops out two moldy pieces of toast out in front of Edd, shocking him. Edd is disgusted and moves forward while covering his nose. As Ed goes around, he notices a shelf of records. Ed takes a record out and looks at it. He then states to his friends he found a donut. Eddy, taking a box down, says to Ed, "That's a record, chowderhead.". The box then falls out of Eddy's hands, causing it to bonk him on the head and fall away off-screen. Eddy is then shown slightly dazed before he falls to the ground unconscious. Edd is then shown blowing away some dust on some magazines. Edd looks at a magazine's cover before throwing the magazine. He then looks at the other magazine and flips through it until it shows a centerfold which surprises him. Edd states that's a perfect specimen. It then shows the centerfold is showing a picture of a praying mantis eating a bug. Ed goes over to a coat rack and takes out a fur coat. Eddy is then shown rummaging through a box until he takes out an old camera. Eddy states, "Way cool!".

Ed is then shown wearing the fur coat. Ed approaches Edd and claims he is a werewolf before he howls like a wolf. Eddy calls out to Ed which gets both Ed and Edd's attention. Eddy then snaps a picture of Ed and Edd, causing them to become dizzy. Ed and Edd are so dizzy that they fall backwards into a bunch of junk. Ed and Edd then peek out of the junk, but are still dizzy. Ed starts to snap out of the trance and tells Eddy to do it again. Eddy then snaps another picture of his friends, causing them to become dizzy again. The picture comes out of the camera and Eddy takes it out. He then shows it to his friends and tells them to check it out. Edd tells Eddy he is temporarily impaired. Ed takes the picture and states he wants to see it. Ed laughs at the photo upon seeing it. Eddy tells his friends they should go take some pictures. Eddy then flashes the camera at his friends again.

The Eds then take more goofy pictures of themselves for fun. The pictures show Ed making a spooky look at Edd, Eddy's shoes, Ed and Edd together, the three Eds together and an unknown picture. Eddy is then shown holding the camera. Eddy tells his friends to smile. Ed and Edd do so and are shown together with Ed giving a thumbs up and laying his arm around Edd's shoulder. Right when Eddy is about to take a picture, he sees Kevin passing by on his bike. Kevin calls out to the Eds while calling them dorks, but Eddy then flashes his camera at Kevin, causing him to become dizzy. Kevin states he can't see before crashing into some trashcans. After a while, Kevin snaps out of his dizziness and tells Eddy, "Real smooth, Ed-head!". Eddy sarcastically apologizes to Kevin while he is crying in joy. Kevin tells Eddy, "You'll be sorry, twerp!" before going towards Eddy to beat him, but Eddy flashes his camera at Kevin again, causing Kevin to become dizzy again. Kevin yells at Eddy to stop moving. Kevin then steps on a bottle and starts unintentionally rolling on it until he falls off the bottle and into a trashcan. The trashcan Kevin is in falls on its side, causing it to roll away. Ed states to his friends they should take more pictures. Edd thinks for a moment and states they can turn the pictures into ID cards. Eddy disagrees and states there has got to be a way to turn pictures into profit. Eddy then unintentionally steps on an old calendar that had fallen out of the trash and looks down. Getting an idea, Eddy states he just stepped into his best idea yet, but Eddy's friends don't understand. Eddy states they should make a calendar. He declares that their plan will be taking pictures of the kids and selling them back to the kids. Eddy then takes a picture of Ed and Edd.

The scene then goes to a telephone pole. The Eds peek out from behind the pole, however while Edd and Eddy are looking right, Ed is looking left through his binoculars. Eddy and Edd run off with Edd noting that the photo safari now begins. Ed states unhappily, "Hey!" before going around the pole in circles. Ed asks his friends where did they go. Eventually Eddy grabs Ed and takes him with them while telling him to come on. The Eds are then shown under a purple car. The Eds get out from under the car and run off. As the Eds walk around, Eddy hears Jonny humming, but he stops and this causes Edd and Ed to bump into him, causing them to all fall down. Ed says, "Oops!", but Eddy then gets out from under the pile and shushes his friends. Eddy then ushers his friends to come look with him. Eddy then goes to peek out from within the bushes and Edd and Ed soon join in with Eddy. The Eds then see Jonny and Plank on a swing while reading a book. Ed looks surprised at what's going on. Edd asks his friends if they see how the wild animals nurture their young. Eddy comes out of the bushes and starts to sneak forward to get a picture. Eddy then goes to a tree and hides behind it before he goes behind a bush. Eddy then goes to another bush to hide behind. Eddy then gets ready to take a picture. Jonny, reading his book, questions, "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a..", but before Jonny can finish his sentence he turns the page and sees something that shocks him. Jonny responds with, "Oh my!". Eddy then tells Jonny to smile before taking a picture of Jonny. This causes Jonny to become dizzy and fall down, causing Plank to be thrown into the air. Eddy is happy he got a picture, however he looks up and sees Plank falling towards him. Eddy freaks out and runs away while telling his friends Plank has gone mad. Edd and Ed look up and see Plank falling towards them. Ed and Edd freak out and run off to join Eddy. As Plank lands on a bush, the Eds all yell out that Plank has gone mad as they run away. After they run away, Plank leans over.

At Ed's House, the Eds are shown moving down a hallway while crawling under a hall rug. When they get to the end of the rug, the Eds peek out. A can then suddenly rolls out from under the rug. The Eds then hear Sarah and Jimmy having fun. The Eds then zip out from under the couch and hide behind a couch though Ed bonks his head on the couch's back. Eddy tells Ed to shush before they look up. They then find Sarah and Jimmy playing with their dollies. Jimmy states to his dolly it's pretty. Sarah is shown holding two dolls and acting out a scene that involves a male doll and its wife. The male doll needs the car, but its wife tells it to take the bus and the male doll reluctantly agrees. Jimmy tells his soldier doll that he wants to be just like it when he grows up. Edd states that some animals get confused and that will cause them to adopt another animal's traits and characteristics. Eddy then stealthily takes a picture of Sarah and Jimmy. The flash causes Jimmy to freak out, but Sarah quickly recovers from being dazed. Sarah is now greatly enraged. The Eds peek out from behind the couch with Ed and Edd surprised and Eddy satisified. Sarah yells at the Eds to look at Jimmy. Jimmy is shown crying in the corner while shielding himself. Eddy tells Sarah to hold that pose and proceeds in trying to take another picture, but Sarah then throws the dollhouse at Eddy. Ed notes to Eddy that he doesn't think that Sarah is agreeing, but he gets cut off by Eddy who freaks out at the object being thrown at him. Eddy ducks which causes the dollhouse to hit Edd instead. Ed pleads Sarah to not throw stuff in the house, but Sarah throws a doll head at Ed's mouth to cork it shut. Sarah then rips apart her dolls and throws the parts everywhere in a mad frenzy. Sarah yells at the Eds to eat dolls. Ed and Eddy quickly run away with Eddy telling his friends to run. Edd states that Sarah has gone mad. Edd tries to find a way to remove the things blocking his eyes, so he can see. Edd opens the blinds eventually, but he gets freaked out at Sarah going on a rampage. The Eds are then shown running out of the house to avoid Sarah's wrath. Ed and Edd turn a corner and hide behind a fence.

After a while, Ed and Eddy peek out and see that the coast is clear. Eddy asks where Edd is. They then hear a crash and turn around. Ed states Edd is there. Edd is then shown to have crashed into a mailbox and is slightly dazed.. The dollhouse is no longer on Edd's head, but the door is stuck to his mouth. As Edd recovers, a door knock is heard on the door. Edd tries to speak, but the door is blocking his mouth. Eddy asks Edd what is he is saying. Edd again tries to tell his friends what he is seeing, but the door is still blocking his mouth. Eddy opens the door and right after that, Edd points to where he is looking and tells his friends to look there. It then shows that Edd has seen someone dancing in an upstairs window.

Ed and Eddy look up and smile at the sight they are seeing. Ed looks at the figure through his binoculars. Ed runs forward for a better view. Eddy follows Ed while pulling Edd with him by the cheek. Ed, still looking at the figure, asks Eddy if that's Nazz. Ed and Eddy arrive at the house, but they then stop however as they hear something approaching. Kevin is then shown rolling in a trash can until the trash can crashes into a tree. Kevin gets out of the trash can and is shown to still be dizzy. Kevin claims to the Eds he can see them. Kevin then snaps out of his dizziness and claims that is it as he's coming to get Eddy now. Kevin then tries to punch Eddy, but Eddy flashes the camera at Kevin again causing him to wander off dizzily for the Eds. Kevin demands to the Eds where did they go. The Eds laugh at Kevin's misfortune as they climb the tree near Nazz's house. As Eddy climbs, Ed unintentionally uses his head to boost Eddy up as Ed himself climbs up. Nazz is shown in exercise clothes and doing aerobics while watching an exercise program on TV. The Eds are then shown getting onto a tree branch that is placed perfectly at where Nazz's upstairs window is, allowing them to observe her through the window. Edd explains that some animals put on a display to attract attention of a suitable mate. Ed looks at Nazz through his binoculars again and Eddy notes that what Nazz is doing is cool. It then shows Ed still looking at Nazz doing aerobics through his binoculars. He then sees Nazz's TV and excitedly states what he sees to his friends. Eddy then tries to take a picture of Nazz but the branch the Eds are standing on shakes. After it stops, Eddy tries to take a picture again, but the branch starts shaking again. When the shaking stops, Eddy asks his friends if they can hold still. However the branch then breaks, causing the Eds to fall to the ground with Eddy unintentionally flashing his camera at himself as he falls. Nazz hears and feels the tremor the Eds' fall makes, and looks outside. Nazz sees nothing, so she shrugs and goes back to what she was doing. The Eds are then shown on the ground dazed and slightly hurt. While the Eds are on the ground, the picture Eddy unintentionally took comes out of Eddy's mouth, showing him screaming as he falls while Eddy groans in frustration.

The Eds then head to Rolf's house where Rolf is packaging meat. The Eds approach to the window and are amazed at the contraption Rolf is using to package up his meat. Edd explains that some animals resort to cannibalism during things like drought or famine. Ed, liking the sight of the meat, states he is famine. Eddy states to Ed he is drought. Eddy states he can't get a good shot of Rolf from here, so he requests his friends to follow him. Eddy then opens the door to Rolf's house where Rolf is still busy. Eddy then prepares to take a picture while Edd peeks from behind the door. Ed then barges into the house and states, "Hot Dog!". He then goes to the bowl of wieners to eat the wieners. Rolf hears this and turns around. Eddy smiles and prepares to take a picture. Rolf yells at the Eds, "Get out of here stupid!", but Eddy then takes a picture of Rolf. This causes Rolf to lose his balance and fall into his machine and become a wiener. Rolf shocked states he is a wiener. Ed, eating the sausages, tells Rolf he is Rolf. While Ed is eating the sausages Rolf yells out to Victor, who is eating grass, they have poachers. This gets Victor's attention and he charges at Ed like a bull. Ed surprised, questions, "Victor?" and turns around. He then sees Victor charging towards him while Edd and Eddy are shown with panicked looks on their faces. Ed states, "Nice Victor!" before running away from Victor. Edd and Eddy state that Victor has gone mad. As Victor chases Ed, he starts biting and munching at the sausages Ed is holding which shows that he is getting closer. Ed yells at Eddy to close the door as soon as he gets out. After Ed gets outside, Eddy immediately slams the door shut to keep Victor from charging at the Eds. After closing the door, Ed states that was close. Eddy says to his friends should go take more photos, but they are then rammed by Victor, causing them to fly off.

After landing in an unknown part of the Cul-de-Sac thanks to Victor ramming them, a headlight flashes at the Eds. They wake up and see an infuriated Kevin, who is wearing sunglasses and is riding an upgraded version of his bike, prepared to get revenge at the Eds for flashing him with their camera. Kevin then charges at the Eds who quickly freak out and flee. They then run through a fence with the fencepost spinning in circles after they go through it. They then run through Jonny's house. Eddy then goes back and notices Jonny and Plank in their bathtub. He then immediately takes a picture of Jonny and Plank before they flee away from Kevin who is starting to catch up with the Eds. Jonny asks Plank does he think they saw anything.

Later Kevin chases the Eds through a junkyard. The Eds then charge through some tires which causes all of them to get stuck in one. The Eds' tire then bounces away from the Kevin until it rolls down a hill. The Eds' tire then bounces off the edge of the cliff and over the road. Kevin yells at the Eds he has got them now, but then he states. "Uh-Oh!" as he has seen that he won't make it over the cliff due to something coming through the road. Kevin then falls into a passing garbage truck. The Eds are then shown landing into a river upside down while the tire goes into a pipe that leads to the sewers. Eddy then gurgles to his friends to turn the tire rightside up. After turning the tire rightside up, Eddy states the sewers reek. Edd states he thinks they have lost Kevin. As they go through the sewers, Ed sees a ladder nearby and states to his friends to look there. Edd notices this too and says "Hey!". Ed then grabs onto the ladder which Eddy congratulates Ed on. The Eds go up. Ed peeks out of the manhole and states to his friends it's all clear. Ed then pushes the manhole cover away and gets out. Edd and Eddy then get out too. It then shows that the Eds have somehow ended up in the trailer park. Eddy asks how did they end up in the trailer park. Edd, panicked, states they should go, but Eddy states "No chance! One more picture and we can finish our calendar." After looking around, Eddy looks at a certain trailer and states there's the place for their last picture. Edd and Ed, frightened, state, "THE KANKER SISTERS!". The Eds then sneak on over to the trailer.

Lee, with a cap on her hair, is shown curling Marie's hair with hair curlers. The Eds are then trying to form a tower, so that they can take their last picture. Eventually they are able to balance on one another. As they approach the trailer, Eddy goes to the nearby window and catches onto it. He then sees the Kankers. Marie claims she is going to have her best hair yet and that she and her sisters are going to be irresistible. Lee agrees. She then yells at May that she is getting crusty. May, holding a huge bottle, states to Lee she is coming. Eddy states this is sweet before putting his camera up, so he can take a picture. May is shown pouring the bottle of unknown liquid into the small hole of Lee's cap. Lee demands what is taking so long. May tells her to quit fussing and hold still. Marie, looking at herself in the mirror, claims she is going to be gorgeouser. Eddy then snaps a picture of the Kankers, making them slightly dazed. A freaked out May states they are being abducted. Lee, who is not as dazed as her sisters, says to her sisters, "No we're not. It's Eddy!" while pointing at Eddy peeking from the nearby window. May then falls to the ground due to being dizzy. Eddy, realizing that he and his friends have been caught, tells his friends, "Run boys!". The Eds try to get away, but they have difficulty keeping balance. Once they do get balanced up, the Eds hold onto each other as Ed runs away as fast as his legs can carry him. However the Eds crash into a washing line, causing them to get caught onto it with clothes pegs. Edd and Eddy are shown held by their shirt shoulders while Ed is held upside down by his pants. The Kankers are shown peeking out and are happy that the Eds are here. Marie states, "Well well.". Lee states to the Eds it is nice of them to "hang around". The Kankers then move the Eds forward inside with Edd freaking out and Eddy groaning in frustration.

The Eds are then shown inside, but still attached to the washing line by clothes pegs. Edd states he hopes that the clothes pegs don't leave marks. The Kankers then approach the Eds and shout, "We're gonna make you pretty!" over and over. The Eds are shown freaked out as the Kankers get closer and closer to them. The Eds then scream in terror as the Kankers gives them their makeover.

After receiving their "makeover" from the Kankers, the Eds are revealed to be trying to stay out of sight from everyone. Edd asks what are they going to do. Ed notes to his friends to look at him before laughing. Eddy tells his friends he has got some gel at his place and if they are careful, nobody will see them. While the Eds are talking, Sarah takes the camera while it is sitting on the desk. Right when the Eds open the front door, they run into Sarah and Jimmy who have Eddy's camera. Sarah tells the Eds to smile before taking a picture of the Eds.

The picture of the Eds is then shown on a calendar with the other kids laughing at the picture. The Eds are then shown watching what is happening through an upstairs window. Embarrassed, the Eds pull down paper bags on their heads to cover up their makeover. The paper bags are shown as frowning versions of each Ed's head. Eddy then angrily says, "Sheesh!" as he closes up the curtains. The episode then fades to black.

Trivia/GoofsEdit

• This episode marks the first appearance of Victor, Rolf's goat, both mentioned and heard.
• Ed gains a deeper voice in this episode which he keeps for the rest of the series.
• The extent of the effects of Eddy's camera seems to differ and decrease among the neighborhood kids as the episode progresses, especially on Sarah, who doesn't even become dizzy.
• When the Eds said, "It's Kevin!", Kevin's mouth moves, but words don't come out.
• Ed is able to climb a tree in this episode without a problem, but later episodes such as "Virt-Ed-Go" and "Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show" show he is afraid of heights. However Ed may have developed this fear in this episode due to him falling out of the tree at Nazz's house.
• There was a color mistake after Eddy takes a picture of Ed and Edd during the beginning of the episode that made it look like Edd didn't have a hat.
• The Eds were wet after they flipped themselves and the tire right-side up. However when the Eds get caught by the Kankers and Eddy tells his friends they gotta run, the Eds are all dry.
• When Eddy was on top of Edd and Edd was on top of Ed, it may have inspired the Tower-of-Eddy in "Ed, Ed and Away" and Ed, Edd n Eddy - The Mis-Edventures.
• When the Eds were floating on the tire then flip over you can see that Edd and Eddy's shirt are long sleeves instead of short sleeves (you can see that in other episodes when characters come in contact with water that soaks them).
• Rolf's customs in this episode: It is a daily chore to make sausages using the sausage-making machine.
• This was the first episode where Rolf spoke in first person instead of third.
• The music playing in Nazz's room is the same music playing in Eddy's room in "An Ed is Born," Eddy dancing to his "Racing Mix" in "'Tween a Rock and an Ed Place" and in Jimmy's scam in "Cleanliness Is Next to Edness." This song is called "Dance Party."
• This episode specifically takes place in June, which is evidenced by the calendar seen in this episode.
• When Rolf says "Get out of here, stupid!", his teeth are white for the second time. The first time was in "Sir Ed-a-Lot."
• This was the first episode to be co-written by Mike Kubat.
• All the characters appeared, expect Nazz didn't talk, she did laugh at the end of the episode with the other kids when they saw the calendar.
• This is the second episode where we see Marie with two eyes without her hair covering up one eye. The first time was in "Nagged to Ed."
• Nazz is the only person that the Eds didn't take a picture of successfully since they fell off the tree branch.
• When Edd points out an exercising Nazz, his teeth are partially gone. But when Eddy pulls him, they come back.
• After Eddy says that they need one more picture for their calender when they are at the trailer park, there is a heart in the next shot on the tree that says "Lee K. + Eddy."
• Running Gags:
  1. Edd comparing the kids' behavior to animal behavior.
  2. People (mostly Kevin) getting dizzy when they get flashed by the camera.
  3. Characters going mad after a picture is taken.
  4. The Eds using the camera to avoid being beaten by Kevin (with the exception of the third time where he fell in the garbage truck).
• This is the first appearance of a truck. Another truck appears in Sorry, Wrong Ed.
• Kevin's look when he chases the Eds on his bike resembles that of the Terminator about midway through the first movie.
• This is the first episode in which some of the characters get a makeover from the Kankers. This happens for the second time in "Know it All Ed" and the third time was in "Ed Overboard". This time it was the Eds, the next episode, it was Plank and the episode after that, it was the Urban Rangers.
• The ape calander Eddy comes across in the trash also appears near the end of "Fool on the Ed" when the Eds were making the El Mongo Stink Bomb in Eddy's garage. However, the calender seen in the later episode was not in color.
